Father's Day Dinner
Jun. 22nd, 2009 08:43 amI was fighting off a migraine so I made the less complicated dinner.
Steak pan fried perfectly rare after being rubbed with sea salt and pepper. A couple of gourmet hamburgers for the Duckie and I although she ate Daddy's steak. A small salad of lettuce from the container garden. Asparagus sauteed in olive oil, with garlic scapes, shallots, sea salt, and a bit of freshly ground pepper. I bought some AR champagne for all of us to have with dinner. My husband loved it.
Sunday morning I made French Toast on request. It's been so long that I had to look up a recipe to start with. The Duck had Momma Pancakes for breakfast since the French Toast was just too weird for her.
This week's meal plan is:
Lemon Caper Chicken
Rosemary baked Salmon with Goat Cheese
Pasta with Homemade Marinara Sauce
Italian Garden Fritatta
