Running from Fear

Or maybe running because of fear, running to reduce fear.
I started running for exercise a week ago. It's still mostly walking with bits of running but I'm already able to run a bit longer than before. It feels good already; I've read that it takes a while for it to start to feel good to run but I'm alreay enjoying it. I'm also working on correcting my breathing.
Why now? I'm scared. The past five years I've had pleursy twice, bronchitis three times, and I got rather close to pneumonia. It takes only two days to go from a cold to having severe lung problems. I have asthma and have to carry an inhaler. I get a normal flu shot and an H1N1 shot every year.
If I get bronchitis two days after getting a cold, what's going to happen if I come down with the flu?
I'm working on getting healthy again.
